I'm all for creativity. I have a hard time with curse words being "creative." I would think NOT using them would be more creative but oh well.
My kids aren't to the age where they choose their music. When they do I'll research it and see if I feel they are ready for that music.
The hard thing with music is the feelings we all get from it. For example--if you are listening to Marilyn Manson, what is the feeling you get from it? I'll tell you what I feel. I feel bad-***. I feel on top of the world OR I feel depressed. Is that how we want our children to feel? I don't think so, then again, it all depends on maturity. I know it's a wishy washy answer but it's my opinion.

I'd let my kids listen to music with swearing. I'd just explain to them that adults swear sometimes- and since children don't swear they can't repeat it.
I may let them sing a long with a song or two when they get older, depending on the explicity and excessiveness of the cuss words

I feel the same way my kids can't listen to music if there language is putting people down (girls & boys) the music now is really bad. I would ask do you know what they are saying? 9 out of 10 they don't know. We have to pray for our kids...

cuz kids tends to learn everything they see and hear at their age , so if they were my kids I'd not allow them to hear music with such low and impolite words cuz if they did all there talking will be a mixture of that words they hear from that music ....
therefore i won't allow it till they are mature enough to judge themselves about it and their language wont be affected by that words ...
but then again that's only my openion , thank you

Because it sets you up to feel that swearing is okay and when you swear, you're likely to wind up with people who feel swearing is okay. People who feel swearing openly is okay are likely not the greatest people for you to hang out with. JMO

Because then they will think that usage of those words are appropriate in society, but in many places it is not. You could even get fired from your job.

It's not necessarily the foul language (although I don't like that either)....but for me, it's more the other lyrics I don't like.
