I don't get it. If God existed forever, what made him decide to create the universe when he did? The timing was right? That makes no sense, since there was no time until God created that also. Why didn't he just wait another godzillion "years" to make the world? What difference would it have made?

It's okay if you don't get it. Trusting in God is the key. It's called faith. Faith is believing in something you can not see or touch.

John1:1 In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2 He existed in the beginning with God.
3 God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
4 The Word gave life to everything that was created,[a]
and his life brought light to everyone.
5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.[b]
6 God sent a man, John the Baptist,[c] 7 to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. 8 John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light. 9 The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.

10 He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. 11 He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. 12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

14 So the Word became human[d] and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.[e] And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

We will only have the answer when we get to Heaven and ask. God didn't think it was important to include that information in his word, therefore, we don't have a clear answer.

a million) If God doesn't exist, then how might want to you clarify how the international got here about? Now i'm no longer saying that God is disabled, he's a techniques from it honestly, yet might want to you if it were yet another human being? 4) How can a human creat a image of a few land or a construction if we've not ever been one ourselves? we are so diverse from those issues and it truly is compared to we may be able to go ask them what it truly is pick to be them.

God is the unforseen power of the Universe, He made the Universe, which ever way you beleive in him he is always with you , for he is in you !
He made this world in 6 Days and rested on the &th day, and since then he is still creating!
Seek him and only you can find him. He's waiting, he never pushes you to him, only when you are ready!

God exists outside of time since he is the one that created it. So he has existed forever as far as we know. I know its hard to wrap our brain around the way God works and who He is but the Bible says we are supposed to lean not on our own understand but have faith in the Lord and He will reward those who are faithful.

1st book of genesis. I am the beginning and the end.
from my studies. God was pleased for eons with his angles that he created. When Lucifer started acting up, because God made him so close to himself, He was done with the angles and wanted to re-create an image of himself without the same powers that he had given the angels. This way he could see if they would love him just to love without coersion.
PEACE!!!!!

The idea for gods came into existence when early man tried to understand what controlled his life. At first he gave the power to certain animals, cave bears, wild bulls, lions, then he attibuted it to "someone" that lived up in the clouds where the rains came from or some great distant ancestor that started things and watched over all his children. It has pretty well snowballed from there. So god has only existed for about 150,000 years, that is when man made him up.

Yes God has existed forever. To answer your second question, I think that we will have to wait to ask God himself that question. Right now, I believe that it is not for us to know the answer to that question.

He has existed since before the foundation of the world. He is too awesome to define or completely understand so stop trying!
