Well if the son was doing your will, and if you saved mankind, and if you were one and the same with your son, then yes the most merciful father.

You really mean to say, My son is going to save many millions of people from an eternity of suffering, He is going to take on all their sicknesses and sins so they will come and live with Me and my Son forever in Heaven. My Son will suffer and die for this, but both He and I have agreed to save these people, because we love them. In turn I will raise my Son to glory and give Him all those He saves and He will forever be glorified by those followers. I think that is the real point. Praise the Holy Name of Jesus. Who at His name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
