Do not buy any sweet foods at home for a while. You will automatically only eat what you have in your pantry and then you will get used to no sweets. It is hard for the first 2/3 days to go without sweet snacks, but then later you don't remember them as much. You can spend time outdoors, read a book, watch tv, exercise, or do something that interests you besides thinking of sweet food.

Try this. Seriously.
when you get a craving, eat 1/2 of a teaspoon of white sugar. It has 25 calories or so and it will CURE you of that sweet craving for the rest of the day.

you probably never will, the trick is not eating every sweet thing you crave, instaed have a lollipop, or small people of candy that you can suck on, like a caramel. This will take care of your craving and not make you gain weight.

Try substituting. Whenever you have a craving grab a piece of gum or a sugar-free candy.

Have a cup of flavored hot tea that you really like, that usually puts off the craving for me --and sometimes I forget about it altogether.

once you crave salt, eat somewhat of complete wheat bread that's gently buttered, and once you crave sugar, have some fat-loose yogurt or gently surgared cereal. i love oatmeal with somewhat brown sugar on right. Sorry, i can not help with something else because i don't have my era yet.

let yourself have just a little, enough to satisfy your craving, i keep a bag of chocolate in the freezer, just the little miniature candy bars, whenever you get a craving, pop one out and eat it, they don't go bad that way either

Brush your teeth or reach for something peppermint flavored. When your mouth tastes clean, you won't want to ruin it with other tastes. I keep listerine strips on hand
