the house that she lives in belongs to her grandmother. she lives there with her grandmothers, mom,stepdad,and her siblings. he buys nothing for her. doesnt support her financially.

yes. the stepdad can claim his stepdaughter if she lives with him, no matter who ownes the home. Your child has to live with you but a parent does not according to the tax rules. Hope this helps.....

maybe that depends on two things did you have income for the year that he is claiming you because if you did then you can file your own income tax and he would not be able to claim you but if you did not have income and he was the main provider of the house hold you all live in then yes he can. hope that helps.

Unfortunately yes he can claim her if she lives with him atleast 6 months out of the year regardless of who own's the house.

No. He cannot. He must provide more than 50% of her support.
