Check his ears. He could have an infection or yeast, which is very stinky.

Some dogs smell because they roll in stinky stuff. Some dogs smell because they get TOO MANY baths and it ruins the balance of their coat. Some dogs smell because their food does not agree with them.

I would find out what the grooming guidelines are for Min Pin's, I would keep an eye on the dog to see that he doesn't roll in crap, and I would also check what you are feeding him. If it's not high quality, that could be the problem right there.

Male dogs usually don't smell any worse than females. Your dog may need a bath more often than every two weeks.

Is he rolling in anything in the yard? I know it's gross, but dogs will roll around in dead things.

Also, how does his skin look? If it's red, flaky, or irritated, he may have some type of skin infection that causes his smell.

Make sure that you keep him clean (bath every week) and also wash or change his bedding at the same time.

I have had male dogs and none of them smelled bad. Take him to the vet and ask him/her.

Try giving him dry dog food only and water only. And bathe him every week and use a blow dryer. Change his bed too.

He shouldn't smell bad. He might have blocked anal glands...is the smell particularly bad around the base of his tail? He may be licking and spreading it over his coat. You might take him to your vet to have the glands checked and expressed.

I've never had a stinky male dog and I've owned many different types (a couple pure breds, but mainly mutts).

maybe you need to change his diet..
certainly the food they eat effects their "musk"..

Don't hink its a gender thing - I find my current Keplie X girl to by generally stinkier than my last lab cross male..
