If someone told me that I would think they meant I Love You but we''l never be together. If they aren't married are have any reason not to be with you, that is just nice way of saying otherwise I don't want to spend my life with you. They like you a lot but not enough to be a steady relationship but you always have a place their heart but just as a real close friend.
Sorry but I really think that they are telling you in a real nice way find someone else to spend your life with, it want be me.
