1. More and more people are trying to find the weight loss program that will work miracles. Does one exist? Not one that will work miracles, but there are some out there that will work for you. There trick is where to look, and what to look for. I can't really show you where to look or exactly what to look for, but I can give you a few facts and details on why nothing has worked so far.
2. You are probably overweight because of the most simple of reasons. Because you are eating your meals at the wrong time of the day, you are eating the wrong foods, and you are eating the wrong types of calories in each meal. Food is actually more powerful than any kind of weight loss pill you can buy. How is that? Because the food you eat determines weather you are fat or thin. Most will tell you that you get fat because you don't exersize.Wrong! You get fat because you don't eat the right foods at the right time each day. One secret is that you have to eat more than 3 times per day. The pattern that you choose to eat your meals every day is more powerful than any weight loss pills. More than likely you have gotten overweight by eating the wrong foods but you can slim back down by eating the right foods at the right time each and every day. Let's take a look at some of the things that don't work.
3. Low Fat Food Doesn't work. You can't lose weight using low fat diets. Almost everybody today is buying low fat or non fat food, however everybody is getting fatter by doing this. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This should tell you something. The low fat menu is not the answer to dieting.
4. Low Carb Plans Don't work. More than likely you will find it too hard to lose weight on a low carb diet. Why? Because they are too strict and too hard to follow. It takes tons of energy out of your body which makes it nearly impossible to stay on the program. A popular low carb diet is the Adkins Diet. The problem with Adkins is that it puts you on basically a starvation level of carbs, with only 80 carb calories a day for the first few weeks. Basically this is like starving yourself.
5. Low Calorie Diets Don't Work. Eating low calories is the worst thing you can do for your body. All this diet does is slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight. Actually the first few days you will lose a few pounds. But then it comes to a stop and you will be stuck in a diet plateau. The reason for this is that your metabolism will detect a major drop in calories and then adjust itself to burn fewer calories each day.
6. What you have to do is rotate your eating patterns. When you rotate your eating patterns it takes a few days before your metabolism can adjust to the new eating patterns. And by rotating your eating patterns this is what will force you to burn fat. The thing is, your metabolism has no idea what you will eat in the coming days. Your metabolism always burns calories from what you have eaten in the prior days. So you have to shock your metabolism into thinking something different. This is called The Shifting Calories Theory. Starving yourself will only slow your metabolism down. When your metabolism slows, your body burns fuel much slower and will go into starvation mode. I'm not going to say 'what the hell are you doing....etc' like some people may do, after all I know nothing about you, what you weigh currently and why you want to lose weight so desperately. All I will say is be careful, lplease ook after your body. Starving will only damage your internal organs in time to come.

I recommend you take a look at this girl who has put some videos up on youtube about her experience with an eating disorder (not that I am suggesting you have one....I am not a doctor, and starving yourself for nine days doesn't automatically mean you have an ED or are going to die), but they may make you think about why you want to lose weight so rapidly and are using a drastic measure for such purpose.

You need help. The school counselor and the school nurse or better yet, your family doctor can provide you with the help you need to achieve a good weight. Starvation dieting will get you put into the hospital -- where you will not lose any weight at all and will probably gain weight. You don't want to go there. Talk to an adult that you trust, if nothing else. Good luck.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

When you stop eating, your body goes in to starvation mode, then when you do eventually eat, you put heaps of weight on. The body thinks ''i'll have to keep all this food as fat just incase it happens again''. You slow your matabolism right down. You would of probably fainted by now too. It's really not good and if you want to lose weight and keep it off, you need to eat sensibly, not starving yourself.

Losing weight is not an overnight process. Not eating will kill you. and you're only 14 why are you worried about your weight? Unless you're being supervised by a doctor losing weight at your age can be dangerous to your future health.

Eat something. Then go to the doctor and learn how to lose weight safely.

If you don't eat then your body will go into starvation mode which means when you DO start eating again your body will store the fat which means you'll put on more weight. You just need to eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly. At 14 you should be active and healthy and not have to worry about dieting.
Please be sensible. You could visit a dietition or nutritionist if you think it could help you to eat a balanced diet.

You need to lose weight at a steady rate as much as you will hate to hear it. Not eating won't make you thin really fast but it will make you weak and prone to all manner of illnesses and fainting.

There are lots of ways of losing weight you just need to find something that suits you. Good luck and speak to your parents they will be able to help you with this

Good for you for wanting to be healthy. Try not to think of quickness as part of goal to lose weight. Your goal should be to lose weight and enjoy doing it. For you and the program you choose how to lose should be or add a fun part to it. suggestions:music-sing,dancing,and or playing an instrument. Don't count out sports. There are a variety and get into something lightly and progress.
Pick and do these things perhaps with a partner. The more you enjoy doing, the more you will lose too. Good for you and eat healthy.

I hope this is a joke.
The only way to lose weight is to eat!
Your body needs fuel to function, starving yourself simply means that your body hangs on to any calories, as it doesn't know when it is going to be fed again.
Eat a balanced diet, cutting out any foods with 'empty' calories and be patient.
Go see your G.P, and your local Weight Watchers meeting if you are serious about losing weight.
