We've seen them flying overhead for a few months but only a day or two at a time then nothing for several weeks. How do they decide where to make nests? Can we do anything to keep them in this area?

Generally bald eagles nest in the same nest for years and years and don't move unless their nest is destroyed or otherwise unusable. The add to the nest each season and they become huge. They are likely feeding in your area, then returning to their nests.

Do what you can to keep your area green and inviting to their prey, and you will keep seeing them!

Bald Eagles are birds that migrate through out the year. Unless you live in a place that is where the eagles stay to nest, there would be nothing you can do.

Bald eagles make huge nests in the very top of tall trees. Some people have made tall platforms away from buildings for them but it is not easy to make them build nests.
