A walnut is a tree nut and a peanut is classified as a legume. They are two different types of nuts. Not everyone is allergic to both kinds although it is possible.

people who are allergic to peanuts which are really legumes are often also allergic to true nuts such as walnuts and pecans. but tree nut allergies are less common than peanut allergies. probably best thing to do is stay away from them though. dont want to risk it.

Maybe not but unless you have been tested for all possible allergies how can you be sure? It's not worth taking any chances because I have seen the allergic reaction when we found that my three years old nephew was allergic to peanuts.

Tree nuts are different than peanuts which are legumes. To be on the safe side though-- avoid both until you are certain.

If allergic to nuts.......I would avoid all nuts and mango's too. Go to the DR if you want to try it and ask the DR.That way if you're allergic they can save you.

I'm allergic to the mango skin, I can eat maybe 1 with skin and after that my lips break out in hives and swell up. I have to remove the skin
