Yes, I think that will work okay. The cake may be a little less white, as the margarine will add some color. Also, it will probably be a good idea to melt the margarine first before mixing it in. Good luck.

I've always used margarine when baking a cake. I guess it depends on the recipe, I normally make a victoria sponge which uses margarine.

You can try... it is mostly oil anyway. I would melt it in the microwave. Who knows? Maybe the cake will turn out better!

yes but! it will make it the same texture as a pound cake (kinda crusty) and it will change the color maynaise will work also but it will be different / you can also use fruit juice
