i was once arrested about 10 years ago, can i get that mug shot of myself?

i was in a bar and seen the mugshot of frank sinatra on the wall and was wondering if i can get my mug shot of me when i was arrested when i was sixteen, about 10 years ago. hopefully online if possible.

Because of your question, I just called the police department where my mug shot was taken about 10 years ago. I was 19 at the time. They just told me that they cannot give out mug shots without a legitimate reason and that just wanting the photo of myself was not a legitimate reason. The woman was very nice to me but she said she couldn't think of any legit reason why they should give it out to anyone who isn't involved in law enforcement. She did offer me a copy of my criminal record but I don't need that. I doubt you can get your mug shot anywhere online especially since you were not incarcerated and you were a minor. Try calling the police department and be really friendly about it. Maybe the place you were arrested will give it out, but mine won't.

Sorry, 16 means juvenile, and that means sealed case file in just about every state in the union. It would NEVER be on line at that age, unless you were tried and convicted as an adult.

Your only chance would be to write the jurisdiction where you were arrested and see if they happen to still have it. A lot of places dump their files after 10 years no matter what.
