Gotten over what, smart guy? Being spit on and abandoned by their country? The PTSD from the horrors of war?

Like the lady above me said, "How insensitive." Let me add... JERK.

Got over what? The fact that when they came home "we" acted like they were the enemy. The fact that they put their lives on the line for a country they love and they don't get any recognition or decoration for it. The fact that most of them live with depression, alcoholism, and drug addiction because of the things they lived through. The fact that they couldn't even comfort a child because they might be rigged with a bomb by it's own parents. The fact that they had to guard the garbage dumps so that the vietnamese people could not dig through it for food even if they were hungry.

Why be so callous and harsh? I have family that spent time there and they are going through counseling because of the flashbacks they have. They can't hardly even speak to anyone about the awful things they saw and lived through. I only heard a couple of stories of what they lived through and it was difficult for them to tell what they did. It was a horrible place. Don't demean what sacrifices those brave men made to keep us free.

Grow up.

I need to know what you mean by "got over it." Got over what? (IIt's doubtful you know yourself) Go to Google, type in "Find Vietnam War", hit the search key and read all of the sites. Then come back here and ask that question again, telling us what you mean by "got over it"

.... vietnam was a horrible war. The vetrans will never be able to totaly "get over it" and you talk like it's some sort of disease! they need our support to recover from what they've experianced.

We owe those men everything in our lives.
So they don't need to: "get over it!"

Got over it???

You'll never be HALF the man that those guys were!

You should just say "Thank You For Your Service" and shut up instead of asking dumb questions.

Well, they finally can admit they lost the war in Vietnam. ( I admit it ) I was a fool to go into the service back in 1969 and I'm sure they know they were crazy to go into the war and fight in Vietnam. The insurgents in Vietnam kicked our rear big time.

Why would you even ask such a question???

All of them will never 'get over' it....they were fighting a war!!!

They deserve the respect as US Veterans!!
