Well, in the past the answer would be no. However the Army is giving medical wavier that it didn't used to give (flat feet is one that I know of personally). I have a friend that is recruiting in NYC and he said his office alone has sought and received 20 waivers for a variety of different medical conditions.

SO the best answer is if you are interested go in and talk to a recruiter and let the Army reject you. Don't tyr and screen yourself. Good luck

They let my nephew in with severe diabetes and he died in boot camp. What's a couple of inches on a leg?

No, a soldier who hobbles in battle is almost a sure casualty.
