The guy I've been dating said I am closed minded and strange for the following reasons:
I didn't lose my virginity until I was 24 because I wanted to be in a serious relationship first.
I have never tried drugs and don't want to.
I want to be in a committed relationship and wouldn't accept him saying that we are both "free."
Does that make me strange and closed minded??? I never said that other people couldn't do those things...

no, you are not closed minded. I teach high school health and you seem to have a lot more common sense than many of my students.
you have avoided many things (drug addiction, sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy, emotional trauma, disappointing your parents, etc.)
please stay on track, find someone who appreciates your values

I don't think that makes you close-minded exactly... I also didn't want to have sex until I was in a serious relationship where I actually loved the guy... I have tried drugs b/c all of my friends had, but I can completely understand not wanting to and I don't think it makes you any less open-minded...
I think you just know what you want and you have strong beliefs that you want to follow... it's not a bad or strange thing.

Not at all honey! You go girl! I think it is great that you were trying to save yourself for someone special. You are a good person and a wonderful catch for the right guy. Oh, and the drug thing- GOOD FOR YOU! I have never done drugs either and have never had the desire.
All of your choices that you made are not of a closed minded person, rather an intelligent person who makes the right decisions in life, and is a leader and not a follower.
It is good to follow your heart but in these situations, your brain knows better!

You are NOT a closed minded person. You know what you want and you follow through. You should be proud. He is a closed minded person for not accepting you as you are.
Open minded people should accept that others will have different opinions.

Listen to people when they talk to you. He's telling you : He wants to take drugs. He wants to screw you without any attachments or responsibility on his part. He then wants to screw everyone else he can get his hands on. If he wants to live that way, fine. But you dont, so stop trying to travel with him. You are on different roads, and he will cause you a lot of trouble. He doesnt really like you anyway if he would call you strange right to your face---that's unkind. Anyway, you tell him that its better than being trashy.

Hmmm... sounds like he wants to be able to do whatever he wants in a relationship... dump him now, lol! You have lived your life according to your beliefs and morals, and there's no shame in that... be proud. What you have to do is find a guy that's a good match for you! This guy isn't... and he needs to find someone who has a looser moral code so he'll be happy, too! Go find a good man! Good luck, you're a great person!

You're not strange or close minded at all, he's just manipulating you to get sex. As soon as he gets what he wants, he'll be gone. Guard your heart and take a pass on this relationship.
