Either Thailand again, or any of the neighboring countries. It just depends what you enjoyed about Thailand. Was it an inexpensive vacation with wonderful people and great beaches? Cambodia and Vietnam are quite nice, both very unique, but both wonderful. Was it the people in general without concern for beaches? Laos can't be beat then. I've never ventured into burma but maybe someone can help out there. If bangkok was your idea of a wonderful thailand then you want to check out KL in Malaysia, a shoppers paradise, my wife also made me bankrupt there :p Penang is quite nice, and not as seedy as places like BKK and patong. Singapore is nice as well. It depends what your likes of thailand were, if you can expound on your question maybe I can help you out more.

what aspect of Thailand did you enjoy? The weather, the geography, the people? I think you would find Mauritius and the Indian Ocean islands very interesting, a little like Thailand and the people are just as nice. For wildlife, try Borneo. If you like Thailand because it is cheap, then Egypt is just as inexpensive and you can buy the same 'designer' goods (ahem!) such as Rolex watches for £1. Depends on what aspects of Thailand you enjoyed, but hope these suggestions helped.

Ever tried Bali ?
It's a charming little island, the only buddhist in the muslim Indonesia. There are many holidays , celebrations, gamelan music and incence smell everywhere,...The food is very good (I think better than Thai food). In Ubud, the "art capital" you will enjoy dances, music, lounges bars, ...paradise! Walking or cycling around Ubud in calm rice paddies, little farmers' villages .
And last but not least, prices are ridiculous ( nice bali style hotel room for 5$us including breakfast)

Dont know wether you ried it yet but goa is pretty good.

There is reeeeeeaaaallllllyyyy nice beaches and the main area is very good.

the people are friendly and the food and drink are cheap, well everything is really. and as you start to move around, you can find all sorts of areas from chilled to clubs, from tours to isolated beach huts on amazing beach.

I loved it.
