There are soooooo many 18 to 25 yr old soldiers........y does law say they cant hang with minors?? going out or just as friends???

They could get in a lot of trouble seeing a minor. By the civilian and military. You should look for someone your own age.

Not just soldiers sweet heart. Anybody over 18 can't hang out with minors. It's just the law. Sometimes a good one at that.

Soldier or not, it is against the law for an adult to date a minor. If they should "consumate" the relationship, it's called statutory rape. Even if they don't, other charges can apply.
For a soldier, they would be subject to a "court marshall" rather than a typical court... and military courts can carry more severe punishments, aside from the part about being "dishonorably discharged"... which is a BIG no-no for any military person!
If you really like this guy, you'll wait till you're legal to avoid getting him in trouble anyway.

Because its inviting trouble. Whether a guy is a soldier or just a regular guy. A 25 yr old guy does not need to be hanging out with 16 yr old girls. Hang out with boys your own age.

Nobody over the age of 18 is supposed to hang out or date anyone under the age of 18, that's not just soldiers!!!!

Well for one thing think about it. Do u really think that a 13-15 year old parents would let their child go out with a US soldier, u think about this and let me know your answer.

The military does not want the hassles associated with STATUTORY RAPE charges being brought against their soldiers. It is not a law it is a military regulation.

hmmmmm 18-25 yr old...going out with minors....sounds like STUPIDITY to me..
I wonder..if your mother and father get divorced...will they still be brother and sister???....
the LAW is why they can't go out with minors......"hanging" with minors gets people into trouble..because minors "now-a-days" get into more trouble because they have "rights".....soldiers are MEN AND WOMEN who have decided to join up to fight for your country...they are people who are supposedly mature responsible adults....and mature, responsible adults don't hang out with teeny-boppers.

There are civilian laws that prohibit it and therefore there are Military laws. Simply put, if a Military man can't handel himself and stay away from minors in our country,(they go to strip clubs, so they are already out fo control) whats to stop them from raping and pilaging in foreign countries??? You have already heard of a few cases were The Iragi women have become casulties of war and gotten raped. We have to keep these men in line, they are ambassadors and not just the worlds policemen.
