It's hard and easy to explain; Slavery in the New World brought huge changes in the way people viewed and treated others for money! The Azusa Street movement (early 1900's) opened the door in American society to have an intergrated church. It was in most cases unlawful/illegal for whites and people of color to congregate in the same assymblies. The Jim Crow laws, http://www.lynchingsinamerica.com etc...
Racism was not the picture of the early church and was the example for all churches! I point to the Ethiopian eunuch of the New Testament, The chastisement of St Peter in Acts 10 and even St Saul Pauulus at his own trial before the Romans!...See Acts 2, Acts 8:27, Acts 21:38
Some churches still hold fast to old misconceptions and refuse to change their traditions and each church comes away from scripture reading the same Bible and don't see a lot of things. God calls each and every believer to maturity and truth. Every minister will be held responsible for their congregations.

The disparity between black and white churches are totally due to personal tastes. Blacks have their own, spirited type of worship that many white people don't like, and vice versa.
But I'd say that's a pretty big generalization. One of my church's sister churches is almost evenly divided between white and black.
Every church believes differently because not all of them believe the Bible word for word, and among those that do, there is a difference in opinion about what it means. But just like anything else, some churches are wrong, and some are right.

The church is the "body" of Christ! Not some building they all gather at. Christ is the "Head" if you have made him your Lord & Savior! (Romans chapter 10 verses 9 -10)!
The beliefs are different because to be a man of GOD in America you must hold a degree in theology. This means learning the same damn thing about the bible as the other guy. Theology is not the truth! Theology is just the agreed upon opinion of men. The truth is so hard for people to find anymore that confusion wins over more and more. It is a real shame.
Fact is... if you want to know the truth you have to talk to some one like me or do your research! First, find the oldest unchanged English version of the bible because it is the least changed word of GOD. It is called the "King James Translation"! (Not the king james version)
then, get yourself a concordance that translates the English words back to the appropriate language spoken during the time of the section of bible you are interested in reading!
Old testament was Greek words. Christs words were Aramaic! New testament was another language but it aha been so long since I found the truth I forget what language they spoke in the later years but that should give you enough to start with!
Remeber, Jesus died on the cross! It is Christ who is risen! Amen! Hope that helps!

The reason that there are so many different types of churches is the fact that people have different views on what the Bible actually teaches.
Catholics, for instance, belive that you need to confess to a priest and say Hail Marys to wipe away your sins before you go to church on Sunday. They also believe hell is forever. Most, if not all other denominations, believe that the only person who can take away your sins is God and he is the only one who you should confess to. Now the idea of hell itself is widely disputed throught all Christian denominations. Some feel, like Catholics, that hell is forever, some feel it lasts only as long as your sins were. Most believe hell is in the Earth and some think it will start till the end of the world.
As far as the black and white churches go, that might just be the areas they are in. Obviously, there's people of every race in every denomination but by me for example, most Christian blacks are Baptists or Adventists while most Italians and Irish are Catholics. So it might have to do with what area you live in or what area the denominations were prominant (ex. Roman Catholic and the abundance of Italian Catholics).
I don't think the reigion itself is racist but I do believe that the people that want to see racism and seperatism in it, do. The mass amounts of fanatics that say they are spreading God's Word by ridiculing everyone obviously aren't!! God is the only one who is suppose to judge anyone. These fanatics, be prepared to explain to God why they felt it necesarry to do His job for Him on your judgement day!
The way I see it, not everyone may agree on what's right but everyone knows what's wrong... killing, stealing, ect. those are the things we ALL agree are wrong and we ALL know are wrong. Why everyone fights about all the secondary stuff is beyond me!

every church is different because we have freedom of worship. I believe all people believe in God, they just call him by different names. Churches are not racist but some people may be. Racism is a very abused word. It seems to be the scapegoat for every one ills. If people were more honest with themselves we would see less of it. Children are not born racist. Someone has to teach them. Sometimes we find it necessary to demean other religions because it makes us feel safer thinking that we have the only true God in existence. Be it Buddha, Aries, Irises, the Samaritan, or the author of the Koran, he is still God. Only the method of worship is different. Realize that man wrote the bible and all the rest of us can do is basically live the best we can and follow the one basic rule.

Neither Christians nor Catholics as a whole are racists, but there are racist Christians and Catholics. They were not taught that by Jesus. The separation of race in church, which is slowly diminishing, dates back to the days of slavery and segregation, when it had to be that way. The differences in church beliefs, which should be minimal, exist because their are different people leading each church, and everyone has their own interpretation of the Bible.

Any "white" church you go into will have black people in it, and every other race. However many blacks like to have their own churches. There may be a couple small white supremist "churches" that still exist in some places but there isnt a single prominant church, Catholic, Christian or otherwise that prohibits blacks.

What you say is not totally truth....I am a world traveller and I can tell you every where Discrimination exists...EX: in Greece if you are not a Greeck orthodox ...consider yourself an outsider, In India...if you are Hindu... and you plan to Mary...a Budist, or Muslim, or Christian Indian girl you will find a great resistance and dislike from the girl's familly...You do n't have to be a Christian or a Catholic to be a racist...Descrimination exist among all the levels of race, culture, religion, education, and wealth, and place of origin...Ignorance, luck of education, and travell...and what your immidiate members of your familly told you create these situations...But smile...Internet...very fast means of commerce, communications, electronic educations systems, commerce...make people to think and re-evaluete themselves...at least bring the races and cultures and religions closer and closer and at least they start to talk and comunicate with each other.- Maybe the positive or negative way but at least they start exchange ideas and opinions like you done.

There are many churches that have black and white people going to them. I guess it all depends where the churches are! and the reason that every church has its own beliefs, is because of the different religions. but they all believe in their own God and call Him by different names. One would have to go back and study how each religion came about!

People tend to associate with others similar to themselves. Therefore, it is no surprise that church congregations often reflect a particular segment of the population...whether it be white, black, hispanic, asian, etc.
For the most part, protestant churches believe pretty much the same thing....although one may have a different focus than another. Same goes for catholic and for any other religion. You are simply confusing style for substance.
