is your boyfriend gonna make any contributions at all? we're getting married this october and both of us saved money for our wedding; we did 50-50..and we came up with more than we expected so we're using that money for the down payment of our brand new house.
get a part time job - during the weekends or even three times a week - right after your regular job. that will also help..and try to budget the money you are earning right now so you can save more money..

If you free on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (during the day), you should try promotional modeling. I am a promotional model on the weekends and make $17-$20/hr depending on the type of gig. I'm not a reigning beauty queen, so you don't have to be either! It's alot of fun, but you have to be outgoing and have the ability to sell. It's not a sales position, but you are promoting a product for major companies. The money usually comes within 2-6 weeks in the mail. Most agencies have work all over the U.S. If you want more information, send me a message. Good luck : )

Get a second job? Also, maybe you shouldn't go crazy with your wedding. I'm getting married too, and we are spending about $5000 on ours, instead of 20-50K. Trim it down a little. Invite family and only the closest friends. Don't have open bar, or if you do, just have them limit it to beer, wine and soda.
You can make it work. Good luck hun â¥

Try Ebay. You might be getting a lot of wedding gifts, so to clear some room you could sell it on Ebay. Or go the old fashion route and have a garage sale. I know it's not going to rake in thousands, but every bit helps right? Good luck and congrats!

Thanks Terri!
As an international singer/songwriter, I am often times involved in the entire wedding planning process. The groom-to-be hires me to sing during his proposal, and the bride-to-be hires me to sing during the ceremony and reception. www.EWalterSmith.com
Usually, at some point during this journey they ask me if I have any idea of how much “the wedding of their dreams is going to cost?” That question is always followed up with, “How are we going to pay for it?!”
Well, for the brides/grooms-to-be that are serious about being “debt free” after the “wedding of their dreams,” I refer them to MakeMoneyForMyWedding.com. They will help them to develop a strategy and action plan that will help them to make the money they need to pay for the wedding and start their marriage on a solid financial foundation. http://youtu.be/QffH3MnX0X0

Have an engagement party and ask for financial contributions. At the party make an anouncement of the amount given from each person and/or what item the individual's agreed to purchase for your wedding.

Have a Jack and Jill party. Basically that is a party where you invite a whole bunch of folks and charge admission and charge for drinks, a real casul type deal. I have a friend who had one and made almost $1000 profit.

Get a part time job....try the local stadiums! you only have to work home games/events and you can walk away with about 300-400/night in tips alone!
Sell stuff on eBay, have a garage sale, cut back on your "luxury" spending and go back to basics.

Consider taking on a second job. I just did that, I'll be cleaning offices at night - just a few hours a night through the week. Good luck!

Sell Avon, Mary Kay or something along those lines. Just try not to spend more money.
