Sure some accidents happen but....if you have one by "accident", and can't afford it, then you should adopt it out.

I was told once by a lady that had 6 kids, that if she would have waited to have her children until she could afford them, she would have none. All 6 children are CEOs of big companies now with college degrees! Kids don't need much, they just want alot.

Okay, first, I hope nobody is putting off being a parent because they can't afford "trips to chuckey cheeses(sic)." A huge amount of the stuff marketed to babies and children is just garbage they'd be better off without, and most of the genuinely good things, like literacy, are free.

That said, I wouldn't be in this baby-manufacturing process if I couldn't afford it. I would've considered abortion had all the birth control I used to rely on failed.

THAT said, I think you might be missing something about the ages at which it's ideal to have children, and the ages at which careers really take off.

I'm also not clear on whether your priority is to have one parent at home, or for the parents to have money.

That I don't know many mothers who think they can afford to stay home strikes me as odd, but who am I to judge? I've never been in their shoes.

YES!!!
If you wait till you can finacialy afford to have kids you'll never have them!
NOTE TO PARENTS: Don't listen to all these people who judge you for wanting kids. They don't know what it feels like to have YOUR child walk for the first time or say mommy or daddy for the first time or the first day of school....
My sister get's judge every time she have a baby and she only has three! But people judge her because she still lives in an apartment and not a house, give me a break. Even back in the day when people where have more then 10 kids people still make due with what they have. It's probably better then all the weathy people out there who spoil their kids rotten and don't teach them a dame thing! At least my sisters kids will learn respect and value and value for their money!!! They are good poeple!!!
Best of luck to all the parents out there who are making it work!
P.S. My sister is going to have one more!!!

They shouldn't i agree. Not a planned pregnancy if you can't afford it. But there are always ways you can cut your budget and save money, so even if somebody does have a baby and before they didn't' think they could afford it...they probably can. They may not be going out to the club or eating steak anymore for a while but the baby can be taken care of...

If both are working then yes, they should do whatever they want to regarding their family. If they are on social assistance however, they should not expect the taxpayers to raise their kids.

Having said that, having kids should not be the exclusive domain of the rich, since they most certainly are not the only ones capable of loving and raising good children!!! Money isn't everything...a loving family is priceless!

Go f*uck off! My husband and I both work and our daughter is loving, healthy, outgoing and perfect in every way! To not have a child if both parents have to work is insane and half of America wouldn't have kids. Plus, I am glad I am working because my daughter will have a beautiful home (not a trailer!) and everything she wants and plus a nice fat college fund so she can become whatever she wants! Get bent and get a life! You're mom probably raised you and 12 other kids in a trailer, but GLAD she stayed home to raise an ignorant, arrogant and disgusting person like you.

people shouldnot have kids if they cannot make ends meet.
I hate seeing children that are deprived of things (toys, nice vacations, nice clothes, going out to eat, trips to chuckey cheeses, things like thaat) becuase their parents dont have money for those types of unnecessary expenses..
its not fair to the child..
its hard being a child..and seeing other children around you that have all these thigns..
We were well off..but i have cousins that had to beg for 50 cents so they coudl have a bagel when they were young... So sad

Accidents don't ever happen? Look at the statistics on birth control. NO birth control is 100% effective.

I agree too, I know this one is kind of a hard one. I mean if you can't even afford living for yourself and your husband or whatnot then what makes you think you can afford a child? Then again, if you say you will wait until your more finacially stable you might never have children.
