If this is going to be considered a viable theory, there is going to have to be some physical evidence...you know like evolution has...

You can call me closed-minded all you want. You still have not brought anything to the table for me to consider. Is there anything other than the Bible that supports this?

LeBizzle: First off I just have to say thank you for actually answering the question. However I must disagree with you. This is a common tactic used by creationists in which they use a linear function to describe something which could not work in the past. The problem with this is nothing stays constant like that. It is like watching the temperature falling a few degrees during the night and surmizing that it must have been hundreds of degrees hotter just a few years ago.
This is obviously not true, but this is exactly the idea you have used here.
We find that most things in nature move in cycles, fluctuate, and move in non-linear curves.
Again thank you for the effort.

Here are a couple:
The earth's rotation is slowing down which means it used to be going faster. At the rate we know it is losing speed you only have to go back about 20,000 years before you realize that the earth would have been spinning too fast to sustain life due to 200 mph prevailing winds and such.

The moon is getting farther and farther away from the earth which means it used to be closer. At the rate we know it is moving away, if you go back 10,000 years it would have been so close to earth that the tide would have washed up all the way to Chicago.

EDIT -
If you are concerned with linearity you may want to question every dating method we have as well. All make assumptions that decay is constant and that environmental levels are stable.

Evolution does not disprove Creationism. Who knows what God's creation work looks like?! The fact of the matter is Adam (man) didn't come on the scene until after the rest of creation. So no one was around to know.

The idea that the earth is only 6000 years old, came from the man Usher. Not the Bible.

Most scientists say the universe was created in a millionth of a second (i.e. the big bang). But the Bible says God took a lot longer using seven days. Maybe God did it all atonce, when He spoke it looked to us like a big bang. Then He, like a fine artist or sculpture took his time to paint our evironment, then us, into existence over seven days.

By the way, in the Bible, the word "day". Does not mean an absolute 24 hour period, but rather a period of time inwhich important events transpired, for example did Eve die in the same 24 hours that she ate the fruit? Often however it can be literal, meaning the rising and setting of the sun as this would be symbolic to the ancient understanding of man's life. But where was the 24 hours before the sun was created on the 4th day.

Anyway I live in a cave, so what do I know about such things? It is enouph that Jesus has adopted me!

Sure there is a lot of physical evidence to prove that God created the heaven and the earth. Just look up the heavens declare His handy work. How can you believe that all this happen with a "big bang"/ Just use a little common sense. The Universe could not have just happen with all the stars. The earth going around the sun, the moon going around the earth. What it would take to believe this just happen. You may not believe God's Word but it sure does identify people who believe in evolution. Psalms 14: 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. Psalms 19: 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Even the Bible says specifically that the earth is billions of years old, and that evoltion is the method used by God to create all life everywhere in the universe.

Why so many Christians continue to think that the "7 days" listed were all the time it took to create the Earth, they are sadly mistaken. There are a couple of things they continue to overlook:
(1) The "7 days" takes place far after the universe and the Earth have already been created.
(2) There is a conversion between God's time and Man's time, God's time and Angel's time, Angel's time and Man's time - that if you do the conversions, each "day" is hundreds of millions of years of Man's time.

Well, there is the Accumulation of helium in the atmostphere, the decay of the Earth's magnetic field, the accumulation of meteoritic dust on the moon and the accumulation of metals into the ocean. I can explain each one, but why waste my time? You WANT to believe that the False Theory of Evolution is irrefutable so that's what you'll believe. I'd rather use my time to spread God's word to those who want to listen.

You're fighting a losing battle there mate. The best your gonna get, is someone's 'perceived' problem with evolution (which even if correct in no way proves creation any more than it proves the egyptian theory that we are the ejaculate of a god).

Read "The Map That Changed The World, " By Simon Winchester. That may help.

go to this site and check it out...look on the left side of screen and click on search site and then add in what you want to know about and it should be there....and you can also email this scientist and archaeologists who once was an atheist and found God through His creation....

To prove Creationism, one must first prove that God exists.

...but in order to do that, one must come up with a constant, coherent and non-contradictory definition of what "God" is, and then proceed to define why and how this God created all.

Of course, we will never see this happen.

Something had to create everything around, matter does not spontaneously appear. So every time I look around I see physical evidence of some higher power.
