Doesn't it seem like the most virulent racists are also on the bottom of the social food chain? Perhaps that is why they are so p/issed?

i don't know, the Afrikaners are pretty racist, and they're not at the bottom of anything. so are the Brahmans in India. In America, i would say poor people are more racist than rich (in my opinion. rich people tend to like rich people, no matter what their color is, it's all about money and class to them). but no, i think virulent racism can also be a way of protecting class and economic resources

Ditto to Endora, but keep in mind that a lot of upper class Americans are also extremely racist. Country clubs come irrisistibly to mind. I think that racism can and will be found anywhere.

I think that has MUCH to do with it. All beings want to be happy and they create their happiness however they can get it... unfortunately at the expense and happiness of others which is ethically wrong.
