My youngest is ginger too but gorgeous. But then all parent say that about their kids. If they don't have the freckles to match I think they will be okay. But i do think its worse for a boy, still very fashionable for boys to dye their hair. Then again I think Price Harry is rather cute, and hes got ginger hair. It just makes them a little bit more special, not many gingers out there anymore, too many blonds!.
It just the tempers that go along with red hair that scares me.

First, there is nothing wrong with being "ginger" (by that, I assume you mean what we usually call "redhead" in America). I have this theory that for every "look", there is someone who appreciates it. Not to mention, a lot of people have red hair and/or are funky-lookin babies, but grow up to look really good. My own little sister was hideous-looking when she was a baby, but she's beautiful now.

Second, I must remind you of Rupert Grint. Red hair, got a whole mess of chicks who think he's hot. :-)

Third, the best way for your son to have "any hope" is to teach him to encourage him in his good personality traits. If he's funny, or caring, or intelligent, that's what you should be focused on, not just the color of his hair and the way he looks.

My mother was a redhead and my dad fell in love withher. We kids turned out to have blond hair, no more redheads in the family so far. What's wrong with redheads. There is somebody for everybody.

If you mean hope with women then believe it or not, some women actually like red heads. So long as he is a decent lad he's got every hope!
