I'm not sure but I think its normal, when I quit smoking I actually got very sick with bronchitis, I have heard of this before, but I would consult your Dr. on it anyway. P.S... Congratulations! and Good Luck!

Sounds like you have been "bitten by a bug"! It is flu season, and your symptoms are consistent with a long list of viral illnesses. The down side to quitting (only temporary and really, it is good for your immune system in the long run) is smoking kills a lot of bacteria and viruses so it is not uncommon to get sick more frequently, have bleeding gums, colds, and ear infections for up to a year after you quit. Particularly if you smoked for a long time, and/or smoked heavily. The upside? For the first time since you started smoking, your immune system is solely responsible for your well being and it will get stronger offering you life long protection with no harmful side effects!

it is very normal to go trough all kinds of things, you can get real cranky, that is why you always here people say " wish she/he would be smoking again" , you can have sweats, headaches you name it, you probebly will even get a cold soon or flu since your imune system be all messed up. just hang in there, eat lots of fruits and drink lots of fluids, i stopped about six weeks ago and still having some problems here as well, and know, you will gain weight, so what, better add a few pounds you can getrid of real easy than keep smoking, stink real nasty and end up with some sereous disese you can't get rid off. enjoy your smoke free life, you will make it.
good luck

It may be in your head, your addiction making you make excuses. The queasiness could be withdrawals though. When we first quit, my boyfriend said he was constipated all the time, lol. Just stick to it!!! You're doing good!! You will totally LOVE it this spring when you are not smoking and you can enjoy the fresh air.

It's normal to feel like ripping your own head off from my experience.
Flu-like symptoms are, actually, pretty common. I know that when I quit, I was physically ill for quite awhile - it felt like I had a low-grade flu for about three weeks.
It gets better, trust me. I admire you for what you're doing for yourself and the people who love you.
