Been broken up for 3 months now i been ignoreing her so that i can get my head back on my shoulders and she calls me up and asks me if i want to be her date to her work party and that if i go i have to dress up some type of fancy dinner do you think this is a chance to get her back how should i act to her i miss her alot but i dont wanna be too desperare looking

I think that if you don't want to look too desparete, you should tell her that you can't make it (hair appointment, job interview, something that sounds convincing) but that you'd love to get together another time. That way, she'll be wishing you were there with her when she goes and realize that she misses you. She'll also be looking forward to getting together with you soon! If you've been split up for 3 months now, sounds to me like all she is looking for is a date to her work party. If you really want to get your head back on your shoulders, continue to ignore her, decline the invitation to be her date, and move on. Otherwise, you are only setting yourself up for for misery. She's just playing games with you - if she really wanted to get back together with you, she would not have waited 3 months (and then used the excuse that she needs a date for her work party) to try and do it. If you think you did and you still love her then go. Dressing up a little is nothing. She asked you so you're not going to seem the desperate one. Take it slow and easy and see what happens but by all means look into it. If you have differences then talk them out. Talking to each other is the basis for any good relationship.
