i have a mossberg 500 special purpose home security .410 shotgun at home. I was wondering if any of these folding stocks for mossberg would work on mine. most of the ads say 12ga. mossberg 500

I'm sorry to say it, but no. The .410 receiver is smaller and narrower than a 12 gauge receiver. Stocks won't interchange straight from the box.

Speaking as one who has made and fitted a LOT of stocks over the years, though, I would suggest that fitting one to your weapon would probably not be all that hard.

If you want to give it a try on yours, head to Ebay and buy the cheapest, roughest 500 12 gauge pistol grip you can find....try for the $5 range if possible....and start cutting and filing it until it fits your weapon. Once you get that cheapo pistol grip to fit, you'll know exactly what it will take to fit a $50 folder.
