u lose the ability to use some functions on there , volume control for example ....

If you dont and you use your sky remote to turn your volume up etc on your tv,you will need to programme in the number again to get it to respond with your tv.When the signal comes up about changing the batteries just take the back off the sky remote and roll the batteries around and they last longer

really wonder if you bought a test line, a parody line or a
solid state line. They were in oversupply and had to be brought
to the stores like tweeter, or radio shack to fit the job and get
the cheap charge, charges. Usually about 5 bucks on the
200.00 dollar early cell phone chargers. Same issue check it
at some trusted charge experts. No charge.

I think that if you dont it resets the settings and you have to reprogramme your remote to the telly.
