Can anyone tell me what this entails, and is it worth it to do? Does it actually reduce your symptoms permanently, or is it just another way to reduce your reactions?

I went through allergy testing and shots about 13 years ago as a teen... Received shots for 6 years on a decreasing basis (3 x wk down to 1 x mo), but it helped immensely. As a child I suffered from asthma, bronchitis, and sinus infections regularly, not to mention the constant sniffles and sneezing.

After completing the shots almost 7 years ago, I have felt much healthier, although still react to environmental allergies somewhat. Even those I would say have decreased by 50% or more. I am now able to have cats without difficulty and haven't had any problems with asthma or bronchitis.

The process of getting to this point was long and sometimes annoying to make time for, however I would do it again in a heartbeat. I'm sure advances have been made since I went through it and hopefully, it's much easier now. Good luck.
