I don't think I have set "rules" in my relationship. I guess we have a basic unspoken rule of "don't cheat" and "respect"... but I don't set rules and neither does he. That's taking the fun out of it.

Have you every heard of "it takes two to tango?" well it does and not in sex but in a relationship as well. Men dont like to be controled and aparently nither do you, most women don't either. Have you ever heard of rules to having a succesful relationship? There aren't any. Relationships are not about who wears the pants and who decides what, its about respect, trust and communication. I sure hope you dont have your significant other on a leash, cause sooner or later poor rover will get lose.

I don't know. I start off by setting the rules and then somewhere in the middle I end up losing all that I have accomplished. Then, when I try to get it back, I end up losing the man.

because some of us are not control freaks and think that it's not about rules.. It's about treating each other with respect and really loving each other and some of us women don't need to have the upper hand in the relationship to feel secure, it should be 50-50 in a relationship :) :) :)

as a dude who kinda perfers to let the girl make the rules u got a point i am so tired as a youth miniser always hearing girls who cry about what he did, because they did not make the rules, if the girl makes the rules things go a lot smoother and things are easyer to cope with, just my opation

This irony is, we DO set the unspoken rules (as in, "walk all over me) by what we tolerate without saying something.

coz we loveee fantasy, being infactuated and all that drama that comes with it. So sometimes we just dont seem to see reality that clearly..im sure when women start seeing the picture for what it is,then v'l surely make our stand !

i guess we are afriad of being alone and we cherish the perfect relationship and we dont want to give up on our relationship even if is not ok because we want to prove us that we can make it work.
