As this has already been dealt with by the courts and the police, i would sugest that he contact the probation office he was sent to, it might be a case that as he has completed so much they will not do anything, obviously unless i knew the full surcumstances i can only guess. I doubt if he will go to prison, but there is still that chance or they may give him an extended period of CS.

Most people don't complete their CS, usually if you do over half they leave you alone.
Many people with arrest warrants leave and enter the UK because immigration control is so lax.
If he is really worried, get a lawyer to investigate, If there is a record of in-completion, he can offer to complete it now on the basis that his record keeping was inept.

There is very likely a warrant for his arrest. The customs and border folks do not usually get warrant information unless the person is on a national warrant; sounds like your brother's warrant is local/jurisdictional. In that case, he will eventually get picked up, either by the police going out and looking for him, or by getting involved in another criminal act (even as a witness) and being found that way.
What happens to him depends on the judge or magistrate. He might be sentenced to more community service or he might actually have to do jail time.
Best thing to do is for him to turn himself in. They will probably release him on bail (so go early in the morning, and not on a Friday because if paperwork moves slow and he ends up waiting in jail holding, he will be in there over the weekend!) and set up a hearing. If he turns himself in, that demonstrates he is willing to 'fess up to his neglect, which makes the judge or magistrate more willing to be lenient and not sentence him to a long stay in jail.

searching a motorcar has consistently required in all likelihood reason, a lifeless ringer for something else. Carroll is a 1925 case, so i'm uncertain why it truly is being stated. the U. S. very best courtroom hears Fourth change cases every time they convene. In 2009, the finest courtroom ruled in Arizona v. Gant that a motorcar search for must be restricted to concerns of officer protection or to dodge the destruction of info. That had an significant result on regulation enforcement techniques touching on to so-noted as "searches incident to arrest." lower than the challenge you defined, the suitable change into obviously valid lower than Terry v. Ohio, as actual looking suspicion might want to obviously be prevalent. the quest scope might want to count number on the position the info change into got here upon, yet sounds defensible.

most certainly, there is probably a warrant out for his arrest. You will want to check with the local court where he was sentenced- the court controls the issuance and revocation of any warrants, not the police.

I very much doubt if the police will ever "go and look" for him but I suspect that if he ever comes to their notice for anything else they will have him for the CS.
If he really wants to sort it out make an appointment to see the probation service [rather than the police]

I agree with dcgirl, best thing is to attend the local police station earlier one morning (7ish) Mon-Fri, explain that he thinks he may be 'wanted', they will complete a PNC check. If it comes back that he is he will be arrested but dealt with that morning. If he's not wanted then he'll be able to leave knowing that he's had a lucky escape!!!

usually if there is a warrant out on someone their reg number is put on a national computer so that if that person is spotted on CCTV, they can be picked up. i work at a magistrates court and if you would like me to i Will ask a crown prosecuter or probation officer your question.
email me to let me to let me know if you would like me to do that for you. my next time in court is Friday 12/1/07
