I get 40 dollars every week and I usually spend 15 for one ride to different places in town. my mom and grandma says my aunt Dian is ripping me off in this way. my mom wants to take me different places. though if I relied on her I would get a ride a week from when I asked and wouldn't be able to spend the money the way I wanted. she would literally tell me what to do with my money. so what do I do. do I let my mom drive me around [even though she's going to boss me around with what to do with my money and monopolize my time} or do I get ripped off by my aunt Dian. I don't use that much of her fuel. so why does she charge me so much.

can you find a solution.

Is it your money that you earned or is it allowance?

That seems pretty crappy that your aunt charges you for rides since you are family. Maybe you could take the bus instead of having her drive you.

How old are you and how far is town? Perhaps you could save your money for a few weeks and buy a nice bicycle. Then nobody would need to drive you anywhere, you could rely more on yourself and you could spend your money the way you want.

Also, don't forget to save a little each week. $5 a week will add up eventually.

Are you a young teen or a person with special needs? Why do you need to rely on your mom or aunt?

Depending on how much time your aunt Dian is taking out of her day to drive you around, I'd say 15 isn't ripping you off.

why don't you invest in a bus pass or get rides from friends and neighbors?? ya you are being ripped off, big time, shame on that aunt of yours !! tell your mom where you wanna go, if not, bite the bullet or walk.

Buy the gas one day.....drive all around where you would like to go...then ask yourself why your aunt Dian is such a considerate person!.....
as for your mother?

well!!...she is your mother......pick one of the above and live on!

can't you take a bus instead? You pay a fee for all day and it is under $5...I would do that and tell them you are saving for a surprise...you don't have to say what or who the surprise is for either...
