if I was to be arrested after fighting someone, and bonded out. If the person did not press charges, I would not be sentenced during my court date, correct?

If you were arrested for Aslt...and they dont want to press charges, your correct. If you were arrested for disorderly conduct, then it will still stand.

in theory, you would still be called for a series of court appearances. If, at some point, the victim does not wish to pursue charges, or does not appear to testify, the evidence against you would be severely diminished. You may still have a problem if you were disturbing the peace, did some damage or have a lenghty criminal history. so, your case could be dismissed depending on the testimony, or not of any victims or witnesses

fighting is still Illegal. By the other person not pressing charges, you will not have to appear in civil court, but you will still be charged.

not unless the state picked it up,and charges had to be pressed if you were taken to jail and arrested.the only way that charges would be dropped is if the person did not show up and the state did not pick up the charges.

being the government Mary and Wraith are right they will most likely find a way to charge but don't be certain about it

correct, you would have been found guilty....sentencing comes about 6 weeks later.
