You may be thinking of John 5:28 "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation."
If you are saved, God promises to forget your sins. They are as far from Him as the east is from the west; they are at the bottom of the sea, never to be remembered again.
However, any Christian who actively lives in sin will see a loss of rewards. Read 1 Cor. 3:5-17.
Peace.

There are two separate judgments. Believers are judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ (Romans 14:10-12). This judgment does not determine salvation, but rather is when believers must give an account of their lives to Christ. Believers are rewarded based on how faithfully they served Christ (1 Corinthians 9:4-27; 2 Timothy 2:5). The things we will likely be judged on is how well we obeyed the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), how victorious we were over sin (Romans 6:1-4), how well we controlled our tongue (James 3:1-9), etc. We will have to give an account for our actions, Romans 14:12 declares, “So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.” Unbelievers are judged at the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15). This judgment does not determine salvation either. Everyone at the Great White Throne is an unbeliever and is therefore already doomed to the lake of fire. If you confess your sins he if faithful and just to forgive you and he will not remember your sins. No you will not be punished unless you keep doing the deed. You are to forsake the sin and on judgment day you are judged by the acts and deeds you have done either good or evil. The only sin not forgiven is if you blaspheme the holy ghost.

John 5:24
Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. "
I will tell you this - King David was a murderer. He killed by sending to the frontline Bathsheba's husband. He repented and he was forgiven and God said David was a man after His own heart.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Have you asked the Holy Spirit to come into your life? the Holy Spirit purifies and refines and what He starts in us He is more than able to finish. the Holy Spirit brings all things to remembrance that needs to be forgiven. The Holy Spirit teaches us all things. You are being cleansed at this very moment or you would not have asked what you asked. Satan puts those doubting thoughts into our heads. Tell that defeated foe to get behind you because you follow Jesus.

We can practice sinning by not doing anything.
James 4:17 Therefore, if one knows how to do what is right and yet does not do it, it is a sin for him.
We have faith without love, our faith is valueless:
1 Cor 13:2 And if I have the gift of prophesying and am acquainted with all the sacred secrets and all knowledge, and if I have all the faith so as to transplant mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
Jesus said at Rev 3:14 “And to the angel of the congregation in La·o·di·ce´a write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God, 15 ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or else hot. 16 So, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth.
If our deeds, including repentance, love, "doing the will of the Father" don't corresponde with our faith, we will be vomitted out of Jesus' mouth.
John 7:21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.

Well, there is judgement for hell and judgement for reward or lack thereof.
As a christian, who is save by grace, our judgement determine our reward.
Here is but one of many:
1 Corinthians 3:11-15
11 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work. 14 If any man's work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. 15 If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

When you have confessed Jesus Christ your Lord, His blood washed away all your sins.
If an old sin is brought up, learn why you did that sin. Maybe there is a root problem you haven't given to God. After you are sure it is totally given to God, when the devil accuses you with it, just pray to God, "Thank you God that you have washed away all my sins in your redeeming blood. That I am made the righteousness of Christ, and it is totally because of your grace and not anything I do. Thank you God for loving me more than I can know.
You will not be punished for any old sin or sin covered by the blood. For those redeemed by the blood are part of the 1st resurrection. And God rewards us for our works done out of faith, hope & love. All things according to His Word. Those works (done after born again) that are perishable are just fried and wont go to heaven with you.
Once you are born of His Spirit, you cannot make yourself more or less righteous. Jesus Christ shed blood is what makes you righteous. When God looks at you, God sees the righteousness of Christ. You will do things rooted in faith, hope & love because you are made the righteousness of Christ. If you try to make yourself more righteous, it is just self righteousness and those works will be fried.
You can't make yourself a better child of God. You are already robed in Christ righteousness.

If you are saved, you are only going to be judged by your works (good or bad) receiving an reward or loss of reward. you will not be judged by your sins, that is why Jesus died for you. you asked for forgiveness and God put your sins into the sea of forgetfulness, never to be thought of again.
