My ex-bf was the one who ended it. That was almost a year ago, yet last week he called me and asked to see him. He picked me up we saw a movie then he took me home. At the end of the night he just said bye and didn't even try to hug me. Does this mean he just wants to be friends? But even guy friends hug their friends that are girls. Should I take it as an offense? Neways, what kind of things do you talk about with your ex? Can I ask him for advice about geeting a job and such? By the way, even when he ended he would still say hi to me on msn during that year. Now that we both saw each other, can I just talk to him when I want. (on msn) I mean? and what topics can i btring up and what kind of advice can I ask him about AND what kind of questions can I ask and NOT ask him, since he's my ex-bf?

ok listen this guy probally still likes you but doesnt know if you like him so he didnt hug you cause he doesnt want to make a wrong move and ruin everything before he even trys to get you back or he just wants to be friends or just have sex

You absolutely cannot carry on a normal friendship with someone who was an ex, unless it's sort of a situation where you don't talk for 10 years and get in touch again without it being awkward. Just move on.

You can never really go and be just friends after he broke up with you...he broke up with you for a reason and wants to move on....You both can be polite to each other, but that does not mean friendship.

yea you can stay friends with your X but remember it's friends not nothing else.And friends don't sleep with each other they help each other by talking mine helps me somtimes money wise.But we have the understanding that I won't discuss his new wife.I have no comment and if he tells her I am talking to him well that's his issue to deal with.I have spoken to her also.I let her know I was married to him for 25 years and we will always be friends.
