I am not going to waste my time giving reasons why illegal immigration needs to be stopped and fast because every single American should know the negatives of allowing illegals in our country. But with some many against it, why are our law makers not doing more to stop it? Why are some actually extending rights to illegals? It makes no sense to me and I truley believe illegal immigration is going to ruin our way of life and is very dangerous. Any one with serious answers please respond. I am just very curious about this and actually some what worried as we all should be.

LEGAL immigration will help our society not ILLEGAL. Giving illegals rights and benefits is outrageous. Coming into our country ILLEGALLY is wrong. But what is worse, is what is helping illegal immigration grow and that is GREED. There are many greedy companies and employers that are so greedy they fire or turn down American citizens in favor of cheap *** labor. That is just as pathetic as the illegals coming into our country. The ones doing this need to be held liable and turned into authorities. How anyone can sit there and say illegal immigration is helping our country, you have got to be out of your mind. Tell that to those who have lost their jobs here to illegals. Tell that to those who get killed by illegal immigrants due to crime, dui's, or other accidents. They werent suppose to be here in the first place, but now some are left without loved ones because of them. California has been going to hell for a long time. Their taxes are very high due to illegals.

Illegals are getting these rights they dont deserve and we end up spending money on them instead of where our tax money should be going improving our country. It makes me sick that some of my earned money goes to illegals for benefits they DONT have because they are ILLEGAL. And dont tell us to stop 'whining'. Why dont you stop supporting ILLEGALS. They need to stop coming to OUR country and WHINING about RIGHTS they think they should have. YOU DONT BELONG HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. If you want to come here so bad, follow the rules and get in line. Immigrants need to be properly checked for their criminal backgrounds, diseases, and more before we just let them come over. Why dont some of you understand that?! This is to protect me, you, and your loved ones, and the future. Terrorists have snuck across the border as well already. Do we need another 9/11 for you to wake up? Do we need to lose our rights before you wake up?

There is no logic in a mass deportation at the moment. It would be a monumental cost to the goverment. Instead, by legalizing illegal immigrants with a clean record, the goverment not only gains their money (the process of legalization does cost thousands of dollars), but will officially know who is the country. It would be much easier to pick out illegal immigrants with other more serious criminal backgrounds such as theft, murder, drugs, etc. Don't complain and say "If it weren't for illegal immigration, we wouldn't have the criminal problem in the first place." The fact is that illegal immigration is here and there is no point in whinning. Pouting will not turn back time. People are in denial when it comes to illegal immigration: it does and will help improve the economy when they are legalized. And once again I will remind the xenophobes that the majority of "legal" Americans got here through illegal immigration (Protestants, Irish, Italians, etc). The term nation and patriotism is used and bended for convinience. Was the nation ruined when the Protestants came over? Not the land, but the Native Americans pretty much were. Was the nation ruined in the early 20th century when Europeans came over? No. What exactly will legalized illegal immigrants do to ruin the nation? Pay more taxes? Be accounted for? Vote? Probide for the economy? Buy their medical insurance? The key is a good immigration reform that will filter out hazardous people and legalize those who are active economically and civically. Then, after this immigration mess is untangled, a strong anti-illegal immigration act can be passed.
As you might now, immigration at the moment is pure chaos.
This country depends on immigration, legal or not. Why then do we have succesful business such as Taco Bell, Olive Garden, Chinese Food Restaurants, Sushi Bars, Anime, and even celebrate Cinco de Mayo for God's sake. I see more "legal" Americans celebrating that day than actual Mexicans, and I state celebrating loosely since people only get drunk and most likely don't know why the heck it is celebrated in the first place (another example is St. Patrick's day, a religious holiday brought over by "illegal" Irish immigrants). Sure, people take what they want from illegal immigration, but want to toss aside what is less convinient to them: the actual human being.

Because politicians care a lot more about the "buzz" created by discussing this topic than actually implementing immigration reform. Notice how it is no longer as big an issue now that the mid-term elections are over? Politicians would much rather get everyone worked up and emotionally invested in an issue right around election time, so that people will vote in their favor, than any other time of their term in office. And taking an important issue and turning it into a media blitz pre-election is nothing new.

Nothing is going to be done as long as we have such partisan interests going on in Washington D.C. Neither side seems to care what the needs of the nation are as long as they can block each other's votes. I agree with you that we should not be condoning (by not acting against) the illegal immigration problem. I'm on Medicare with a limited income and my drug plan has stopped paying for some of my medications. It is wrong, wrong, wrong that an illegal immigrant should be receiving any support from our governmental agencies while legal citizens such as I, stay in pain, after having worked my whole life as a teacher and social worker and I can't get my medications. I consider myself lucky though compared to many senior citizens I know who can't get any of their medications. Some of them have life-threatening conditions and have to make a choice between food and medicine. That's messed up in a nation as affluent as America. I am glad to see I am not the only one who is concerned. Nobody is listening to the majority any more.

Because, Americans are selfish and want to benefit from illegal immigrants, but still complain about it. Price of goods are down and productivity is up, do to illegal immigrants. There is a lack of conviction to get rid of them. Most employers now hire them in some form in California, and politicians of both party get campaign money from companies. Farm and Janitorial staffs are dependent on them. They are willing to do hazardous work and hard labor that others avoid doing, which is why in California, illegal immigrants are now turning down $10+ jobs. Immagine how much lettuce would cost if we bring the salary up to pay legal residence to work the farms. Would you pay $2.00 lettuce heads?

t's all about supply and demand.
if the demand is there for illegal immigrants in this country, then they will keep coming to fulfill those demands.
i understand the law and i understand the word illegal.
for this 'problem' to go away, we as an american society need to remove the demand for them. but we will have to also be willing to pay for the gap of millions and millions and millions of dollars that they put into society.
this means we will have to pay more for our food - do you think an american will want to pick fruits or vegetables for the pennies that they do? if the farmers are going to have to pay americans more to pick fruits, you and i are going to have to pay more too.
at the small mom and pops restaurants ... will you be willing pay the prices of a larger restaurant for a hamburger?
will businesses want to pay more for maid and cleaning services. that's only going to add more to the prices that they charge us.
there was a study that showed that the illegal population actually contributed more to the gdp than they took. so factually, they are contributing and not taking away from society.
illegal as it may be ... there's a niche that they fill and we as a country are not going to be willing to pay the cost of loosing their role in our economy.

Some of us still care, but do you notice how the politicians stop talking about illegal immigration and securing the border after the election? They caught people's attention by making us think they cared about it, and then they stopped talking about it because they really dont want to do anything about it. we forgot about it because the media stopped covering stories about it and instead talked about britney spears not wearing any underwear and the feud between trump and rosie.

The parties of latest weeks has opened the eyes of plenty of men and women approximately unlawful immigration. That's why you presently see politicians scrambling round. It demands to be greater than low-priced theatrics and lip provider - we want a everlasting strategy to this. I observed it deeply annoying that Vicente Fox observed motive to name the President while it used to be introduced a few National Guard items could patrol the border. He will have to get his corrupt nostril out of our industry!

Well, think about the political situation in this nation- and do a study on how many times the people had to fight for the things that would be favorable to the general population...Government is NOT on your side.

This "way of life" you talk about, are aware that it is based on a new form of slavery? So, I guess you and your kids will work in the fields for $2 hour, that's the jobs you're worried about?
Just another fascist question from the "moral" right wing.
