The original collection (bible) had over 600 books. The Holy Roman Empire decided that we didn't need all of them so they only cannonized what they wanted to. King James version is down to 66. So yea. I would say you are missing something but so is everyone else.

For those doubters--there are several books refer to in the bible that were not included in the final collection.

There are different editions of the Bible the original compilation of the Bible is the Roman Catholic Bible. Later Luther, Calvin, and leaders of the the Church of England, each on their own, after separating from the Catholic Church, removed whatever books in the Bible contradicted their doctrines. What version were you reading? A beautiful translation that has all of the original books is the RSV (Revised Standard Version). It has the most accurate and literal translation from the original Greek and Hebrew texts.

You are probably reading a very old Bible that was printed about a hundred years ago. That's why pages are falling out. Go to a religious goods store (or even a regular book store) and buy a newly printed copy.

The bible is a collection of writings that span a couple thousand of years.

Unlike other books consider holy, it was not written by one person.

Then buy one that has not been damaged.
And lay off the sauce.
My brother-n-law died from liver failure because of it.
as did my Dad who died from Cirrhosis of the liver that caused ammonia to go to his head and made him have a stroke, but..ok,,do what you want.

If you don't know the Bible how do you know what's missing? If it is torn out...REPLACE it.
