I am selling my domain name and web site for someone's laptop and $500 (to be paid in two equal payments). I'm writing up a little contract, nothing too fancy but nothing dorky either. I think mine is dorky.

Can anyone help me fix it? Any suggestions?

We, ________________ and ________________, on ___________ have agreed upon the sale of the domain name http://www.LearnToGoogle.com and web site content for the price of one (1) 12" Mac iBook laptop and a total of $500 USD. The cash payment is to be broken up into two (2) payments with the first $250 USD paid on the day of the sale. The remaining $250 USD is to be paid within ___ days.

We, the undersigned, have read and understood the contract requirements and will fullfill the guidelines.

Contract to Purchase

This is an agreement between _______ (seller) and __________ (purchaser). Seller is the legal owner of the domain name http//www.learntogoogle.com. Purchaser wishes to purchase the domain name and all related rights.

Purchaser agrees to pay $500 USD and transfer of (1) 12'' MAC iBook laptop. Laptop and $250 are due on the day of sale, ______ with the remaining $250 due on or before _________.

Failure to pay any part of the payment due will result in a forfeit of all monies or items given to seller by purchaser, and purchaser will immediately relinquish all rights or related rights to domain name http://www.learntogoogle.com


The undersigned have read and understand the contract requirements and agree to fullfill the requirements of contract.

I, (buyer), agree to purchase domain and content from (seller) for the valuable consideration of blah, blah... The cash payment will be made in two installments, blah, blah...
In the event of my default of the remaining cash payment, blah, blah...
The laws of the state of (state) shall govern this agreement.
