try not to use just one word. maybe say something like, "you mean so much to me b/c..." or "you make me so happy..." etc. If he siad the word, chances are he will be looking to hear it back, but this may buy you some time. If he says it, just kiss him and tell him how much he means to you and all the little things you like about him. I hope this helps.

try something true to your heart and basic i care about you alot or simply i like you alot and if he tells you he loves you and your not ready to tell him you love him back tell him and be honest explain that you deeply care for him but your not sure that its love yet and you want to be with him to truely find out
