My little girl just turned 2 1/2 year old. She will pee on the potty but we can't get her to pooh on the potty. She will come tell you that she has poohed her pants just a little after she has done it. We ask her why she didn't pooh on the potty and she responds "I don't know" it's driving me crazy!! Any tips?

My son was addicted to air freshener. He was always getting punished for touching the air freshener. When it came time to potty train, he wouldn't poop. I finally told him that if he pooped on the potty then he can spray the air freshener. It worked like a charm. My bathroom always smells fresh, he never touches the air freshener anymore unless he poops.

I had the same problem with my older son when he was the same age. It was like a light switch with him, one day, he just started pooping on the potty and not in his underwear. My younger son, we bribed him. He loved doing puzzles so we told him he could do a puzzle if he pooped on the potty. Well, he got so good at squeezing out a little bit, a few times a day, we had to quantify how much deserved a puzzle! Good luck!

my sister has the same problem with my nephew...and some people will tell you not to bribe them, but you might have to...she uses toy cars and every time he poohs in the potty he gets a new car (it could be one he already has). you might try doing something like this with your daughter

Hmm, why do I discover this annoying in content material? I have a sense this poem is deceptively revealing of a youngster's capability to behave out what's going on of their minds and of their lives. "Fingers twist uncomfortably" leaves me feeling haunted through an unknown intent at the back of this line. The spirit of poetry is alive and good for your palms m'pricey. This is fantastic studying, provocative and fascinating and a tad creepy.

we put our daughter in big girl panties and constantly watched her. she would hold it so long that she would get a tummy ache. and then she'd sit on the potty for a minute then get off. so finally, when i knew she had to go, i put her on the potty and to get her to stay i painted her toenails, really slow..(and i used one of the sixty second drying ones) she sat there long enough that she finally had to poo. after that first time we never had a problem again.

Some kids are afraid of going to the potty because they're afraid of falling or getting flushed.

The other, more common reason, is that if she's had one painful BM that was hard to pass, she's going to hold it because she's afraid of it happening again.

If she poos in her pants, show her were it is supposed to go. Let her watch you dump it in the toilet and tell here "this is where poo is supposed to go, not in your pants". Let her flush the toilet so she is comfortable with the whole process.
