she is on metronidazole 250mg. for medicaition

There are many causes for blood in the stool.From parasites,enteritis,ulcers,cancer,ruptured anal glands.If she is on metronidazole,you have (I guess) already taken her to a vet.Take her back for a recheck or get a 2ed opinion form another vet.

the drug is probably too hard on the cat's digestive tract and is causing intestinal bleeding. Call your vet.

internal bleeding could be cancer get her looked at bless her or it could be an allergic reaction from medication
