You can't completely "clear" your credit. You can clear any mistakes by writing to the creditors and working with the bureaus.

But anything legitimate will appear on your credit report for 7-10 years, regardless of whether it is good or bad.

Besides, you want to have credit history and depth. And it's good to have a credit report full of tradelines and activity that prove to other potential creditors that you are a sound borrower with plenty of history to back it up.

The only way that I know of is death. Unfortunately it took time to build up bad credit so it'll take time to "clear" it to be good. The only real needs for debts are (a) things that build equity (home, school, etc); (b) debts you can easily pay off at the end of the month with savings; and (c) emergency needs. Even a car loan is not a good debt... think used and economical.

Do you mean clear it of any negative items? Time will take care of it. You will always have a credit report and that's good. You might want to buy another boat or seadoo thingy.
Takes seven years to clear any negative items. That's seven years from the time the negative item started appearing.

I assume you mean start at zero.

Pay off all your bills (credit card, student loan, cars, etc), including house, close all accounts, don't borrow any more money, wait several years and you will then no longer have a credit report.
