Sounds like gastroenteritis. Eating before bed will not cause this. It is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection that causes inflammation of the stomach and or bowels. You should never take antibiotics without a doctors order as this may lead to you developing a resistance to them and thus making them useless to you body when you actually do need them. Hope this helps. However anymore problems with vomiting of blood I would certainly see a medical professional.

Often vomit things only last a day. I'm not sure about the blood though. Maybe go to web md and look up blood in vomit.

The person talking about ulcers might be on to something but antibiotics do nothing to kill viruses. They do have anti viral meds now though because of aids. Ulcers are caused by bacteria anyway though.

Hope you got the antibiotics from the doctor and took all of them.
Aside from that, the blood was likely just a burst blood vessel in your esophagus, violent wretching will do that.
Suspect your problem was food poisoning.

If you are taking some antibiotics, I'm going to assume that you went to the doctor and had them prescribed for you. He should have told you what was wrong. If he didn't call back and ask him. If you didn't go to a doctor and didn't get the antibiotics prescribed for you, then you are an idiot.

Sounds like bleeding ulcers, I would have it checked out. Ulcers are caused by a virus and maybe the antibiotics have kept it in check, but still you should have it checked out by a doctor.
