Yes think you should, I sure did, I had fairly long hair at the time and did it at an organised Charity night to raise money for a lad with x chromasome disorder, (like Autism ) I had a great night and hired a jailbird costume complete with arrows and ball and chain. I raised over £500 pounds so it was worth it. :o) I had no regrets either and it didnt take long for my hair to grow back. Go on.. raise some cash if you think the cause is worthy.. and good luck ;o)

Go for it. Always good to raise some money for charity and its only hair. It grows back - who knows you may even like the look and keep it (I did!). And if you don't like it or it doesn't really suit you then you know AND you have a good excuse for it. What've you got to lose?

My cousin Greg does this. He has beautiful hair-blond and very thick. He grows it to about mid back, shaves his head and starts the process all over. He donates his locks to making wigs for cancer victims. So I say cool.

Yes of course, whatever you can do unselfishly for others, do it.
If you are worried about the reaction of others print yourself a T shirt saying something like
'I shaved my head for (whatever the charity) what have you done'

Why not? Its painless, you are doing something for a good cause and you might even find yourself a new look. Either if you keep it short or do something with it when it grows out (mine took about 3-4 weeks before I could style it after my no1 grew out)

No. I did this 4 years ago and my hair never grew back. Now I earn a living as a Duncan Goodhew look-a-like.
