because of human nature, we all have to prove we are the "fittest" of the group. No matter what the subject we are all experts, and want everybody to know we are above them. lol. If someone is judging your question or who you are it is typically because they don't have a real answer so they get that type of mentality and act like jerks.

This seems to be a sincere question but without an example it's difficult to answer. All I can say is there are many here on BOTH sides, both believers and atheists, who feel that insulting is the same thing as debating. Too bad.
