To me, the definition of an alcoholic is someone who drinks to excess or in other words to a point where the drinking interferes with the person's functioning in family, work, or social life. One or two bottles of beer a night would most likely not meet this criteria, as long as it remains that amount. Additionally, passing up an occasional night without this trend would have to not be devastating to the individual.
Also, I found a study that says one to two bottles of beer a night actually has health benefits. It can reduce the risk of stroke and health disease with antioxidant benefits. Check it out.

A person is born with the predisposition to being an alcoholic. Are there any others in his family such as mom, dad or siblings that have a problem with alcohol? Can he stop after just two? Does alcohol interfere with his relationships or work? These are usually some of the defining factors in showing whether a person is alcoholic. If he is just having a couple of drinks and that is it then I wouldn't be too concerned at this point.

Alcoholism is a disease. You can't catch it. It's genetic. You could go your whole life without a drink and be an alcoholic, or you could drink until you pass out every night and not be an alcoholic. You'd be a drunk. There's a difference.
Alcoholics have to drink. They drink cough syrup, nail polish remover, anything with alcohol in it. If drinking too much made you an alcoholic, then 98% of all college students should be in AA.

Actually that is considered an alcoholic. An alcoholic is a person who drinks alcohol at a set time of the day all the time. Even if you only drink once on the weekends if you have a pattern of drinking even just once you are considered an alcoholic.

If you drink one or two bottles of beer EVERY night, you probably ARE an alcoholic.
People tend to define alcoholism incorrectly. Most believe that one needs to be drop-dead drunk, or puking-their-guts-out drunk to be considered an alcoholic. Here's the litmus test: if you can't go one week without sipping a beer, you're probably a candidate for the 12-step program.

If he has to have the one or two bottles every night no matter what is going on, or if he has a hard time coping with life if he doesn't get them, yes, he could be an alcoholic.

What do you mean by the word alchoholic in your question?
If it is for regular drinker....
Yes if you are drinking regulary you are called alchoholic though beer has lesser alchohol than others..
If you mean to ask.."Will you be called alchoholic even if you drink a few times"
You can always say I just drank for a while. Then you are not alchoholic.

It don't matter what or how much or how often. If you have a predisposition for it then any exposure to alcohol at all has the potential to turn you into an alcoholic.
