i put a metal pan in the microwave to heat soup for 2 minutes. i smelled something an took it out and there was a terrible smell. as soon as i smelled it my nose got really stuffy and kind of burning. is this smell poisinos to me???

But metal pans are lethal for microwaves.

Why would you do that??

You can do that with the foil and when the brownies are removed from the pan you will have saved yourself a clean up. Just throw out the foil. You can also spray the pan with PAM and then you will have to clean the pan afterwards.

no you shouldn't put metal pans in the mic but you can put alluminum foil in the microwave with something just as long as it doesn't have pointy edges. The reason you usually can't is because sparks will jump from pointy edge to pointy edge eventually causing a fire.

No its not poisinous to you but to your microwave it is. Never put any metal or aluminum in the microwave. It can't take the radiation. You can start a house fire and break your microwave.

omg. how can you be so thick? when you place metal of any kind in a microwave, it produces toxic gases!! not to mention, it could cause a fire, burn down your house, and kill you!!

It could have put out a Noxious odor that could be poisonous!
