Nothing wrong at all with being Catholic. Where else can you receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ EVERY DAY at mass?
Also, we have the sacraments, visible signs of God's grace, to make us children of God and a new creation (Baptism),
restore our relationship with God after we sin (Reconciliation),
receive the Body and Blood of Christ which in turn makes us the Body of Christ (Eucharist)
fills us with the Holy Spirit to be able to live a life in Christ (Confirmation)
joins us with a spouse and God in a lifelong relationship (Matrimony)
Joins us with God in dedication to Him and His people (Holy Orders), and
heals us when we are sick (Anointing of the Sick)
The Catholic faith includes each and every Catholic who has ever lived (the saints in Heaven) and are ready to pray for us whenever we need them. A Catholic is NEVER alone.

I am glad I converted to Catholicism.
I am always seeking knowledge.
I found this info online as 'additional readings" :
Protestants being thus impious enough to make liars of Jesus Christ, of the Holy Ghost, and of the Apostles, need we wonder if they continually slander Catholics, telling and believing worse absurdities about them than the heathens did? What is more absurd than to preach that Catholics worship stocks and stones for gods; set up pictures of Jesus Christ, of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and other saints, to pray to them, and put their confidence in them; that they adore a god of bread and wine; that their sins are forgiven by the priest, without repentance and amendment of life; that the pope or any other person can give leave to commit sin, or that for a sum of money the forgiveness of sins can be obtained ? To these and similar absurdities and slanders, we simply answer: "Cursed is he who believes in such absurdities and falsehoods, with which Protestants impiously charge the children of the Catholic Church. All those grievous transgressions are another source of their reprobation."
"But what faith can we learn from these false teachers when, in consequence of separating from the Church, they have no rule of faith? ... How often Calvin changed his opinions! And, during his life, Luther was constantly contradicting himself: on the single article of the Eucharist, he fell into thirty-three contradictions! A single contradiction is enough to show that they did not have the Spirit of God. "He cannot deny Himself" (II Timothy 2:13). In a word, take away the authority of the Church, and neither Divine Revelation nor natural reason itself is of any use, for each of them may be interpreted by every individual according to his own caprice ... Do they not see that from this accursed liberty of conscience has arisen the immense variety of heretical and atheistic sects? ... I repeat: if you take away obedience to the Church, there is no error which will not be embraced.

Nothing is wrong with being Catholic. Just like there is nothing wrong with having any other faith.
There is some harsh criticism against Catholics now because some of the fundamentalists try to push their religious belief and opinion as regards to political topics onto others. And obviously, people have a problem with that. But not all catholics are like that.

You are not wrong to be Catholic. The fact that there are people out there who want you to feel ashamed on account of being Catholic serves as evidence to the Truth:
Just remember a couple of the Beattitudes, Matthew 5:10-12:
10: "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11: "Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
12: Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Whever I'm given grif for being Catholic, I take it as a compliment. Christ endured unspeakable suffering for our Salvation. The least we could do in return is tolerate a little disbelief from those who have not (yet) seen the Light.

There is something wrong in most denominations. Catholicism is no exception. The question should be, "What is correct about being a Catholic?".
Everyone makes mistakes. Sometimes person was taught something wrong. When the Lord reveals to you something not true, just repent to God and He promises, and is faithful & just to forgive you your sins and cleanse you from it.
I believe there is something called denomination division. This is of the devil. And is because of some fault in the denomination. But a true Church has to have the foundational truth that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin (without sin nature) conceived of the Holy Spirit, That He was tempted like us (Adam) yet without sin, that He is the Lamb of God (redeeming blood) and the Resurrection from the dead.
I believe the Catholics have this foundation. But, they also have books in their Catholic cannon that has obvious errors.
Also, the faith isn't so much the denomination title, it is Faith in Gods Word. Trusting & obeying God. Not so much what man teaches, because man makes mistakes. God gives us discernment to see the tares (slanders, false doctrines) or the good seed (The Word of God).
