This is a girl or woman who makes a lot of demands. Frequently this translates as a desire for fashionable clothes, fancy shoes, the best food, and so on. It can extend to demanding that the partner not only buy these things for her but that he also buy her a car, a house, and so on. High maintenance women don't like child care - it messes up their hair styling - so if they have children, guess who is expected to bear the primary responsibility for tending to the children. They also don't like housework much, because they have more important things to do, like watching soap operas. The state of their fingernails is more important to these vain women than is the health of their spouse. In other words, they're narcissistic and hard to please. Very hard to please.
The other kind of high maintenance woman (or man) is one who is neurotic. If she can't go out of the house ever because she has too many phobias, imagine the strain this puts on the partner. Heavy drinkers and smokers are hard to put up with, as are compulsive liars and thieves. Any behavior that adds extra unnecessary stress to a relationship could be considered as "high maintenance".

I'm speaking from my point of view that I prefer women in jeans..I get scared of women who look to dressed up because it make me think she wants the fineist things out of life or she's stuffy.. I rather be with girls who are simple and loving.. Its Ok to me if she dresses up in a off way for an example, bell bottoms or something in the 1960's with declorations on her clothing..but I get scared off if she looks like she's going to a ballroom dance at the White House or wearing a buissness suit.....I'm not sayng that is not pretty, but dressing like that should come after meeting a guy.

Getting manicures/pedicures a lot. Every highlight is just in place. Wear makeup at the gym. Always looking in the compact mirror reapplying lipgloss.

I would think, over concern with fashion.
Sometimes fashion can be so wrong but just because it's in the fashion mag or her peers have it, she must have it, i would think that's high maintanance.
Too frequent visits to hair salon and manicure palour. :D
What do u think?
