Now that the medical term is out of the way, there are so many things that the word ego covers. It's a person's higher ratings of themselves. I am an artist and if one wants to boost my ego, they say great things about my work, for a football player, people going off on the way they played but one can go too far and make these people think they are higher than they really are and in their own mind they start to believe they are like a god.
Watch your step when it comes to feeding someones ego, it's not always a good thing and could lead to turning them into a jerk.

Its short for their emotional gratification outlook, meaning that the way they view them self becomes vain.Like they will think that they are someone special due to how they keep being viewed.
Men in most cases are very sensitive to their appearance by women and if they always get told by many women that they are "all that" they start to think of themselves on a higher margin than others.

"ego" is like kanye west full of himself thinks he's better than everybody. Think he's the coolest you wouldn't wanna date a person with alot of ego they would be really annoying.

ego... a cocky, sexy, charismatic bastard that knows he's all of those things has a big ego and cares about his reputation. this means they think they have to get off with more girls and will break your heart. a guy that thinks he is an ugly loser has no ego. a REAL ugly loser who thinks he is all that has a big ego that he needs to get rid of. get it?

What a person thinks of him/herself as. If they mostly care about themselves that is considered having a big ego. It is personal opinion of yourself, that is ego, what you think of yourself as
