I dont know why I can do this or for what purpose it has. But ya know how when you yawn, your ears ring...I can make them ring at any time without yawning. It sounds like a low rumble. I dont know how I do it or why I can and it seems like noone else knows what Im talking about. Can anyone else do this other than myself? And Have you found any useful purpose for it? Thanks

Its not a high pitched ring, more like a low rumble, like drums. I can do it for a while and then if I keep doing it, I eventually get a worn out feeling and cant do it anymore for a while. I've asked SO MANY people if they could do it and NEVER knew anyone who could.

You said ring, right? May you elaborate it more please? You know what, I can also make my ears produce sound but only internally where I'm the only one who can hear it. What I am hearing was a sound like a huge sea waves, as if I am near to a rumbling waves. But hearing a ringing sound inside my ears, nope, it’s hard to make those… can you teach me…hehehe

No, your not weird. You just have extra high noise hearing. If you get a hearing test I would bet you can probably hear in a range that normal ears cannot.I have had this problem all my life. Now aged 71 years, I can still hear mostly high pitched noise from TV, radio, Touch Lamps, transformers etc. Anything that emits a high pitched noise.Fortunately I can usually "turn off", and not listen too hard. Sometimes though the reason you state, can be due to ear wax resonating on the ear-drum. Have you had your ears checked?

I can do that to, for me it is high pitched though, I haven't found a purpose besides shutting everybody up/blocking them out, but on my question that I put up, people say it's vibrating the muscles in your ear and damaging your eardrums, one guy said " dont be surprised if your def by 40 " so I try to not do it as much as possible, I'm happy I found someone that knows how I feel, hope I helped elaborate for you.

I can do it on command too. I do it by blinking hard or tightening the muscles in my face. It sounds a little thunderous, but I still don't know what the use is except for one's own amusement. Do you get a click or two in your ears when you do it?

Yup, I can do it . & all this time I thought everybody else could do it too. It sometimes helps me get rid of ear pressure, the kind you get when you're on a plane. Have not found any other use for it, yet.
